The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia has released its updated Professional Development and Practice Support programs for 2011.
The guide has been developed in recognition of the need for pharmacists to continually maintain and grow their professional practice.
The 2011 Guide to PSA Programs helps PSA members to access the Society's wide range of programs and events.
The guide details the activities and offerings under the PSA programs, thereby helping pharmacists to plan their entire professional and business development program for the year well ahead of time.
National President of the PSA, Warwick Plunkett, said the need for pharmacists to grow their professional and business careers was the basis for the development of the PSA's offerings.
"These offerings enable pharmacists to develop and improve their knowledge and skills base through activities tailored to their particular practice and professional needs," Mr Plunkett said.
"In 2011, the Guide to PSA Programs brings together in the one publication all of PSA's professional development and practice support offerings to give members a valuable reference to use when planning their educational activities for the year.
"The guide is all the more important now that mandatory CPD has been introduced.
"It is important for members to examine the updated guide for 2011 as PSA is constantly developing and refining its programs to deliver the best possible resources and information to members."
Mr Plunkett said that the PSA's Professional Development and Practice Support programs had been developed to ensure Members have a professional and practice edge and were best able to tackle the challenges they faced in their careers, regardless of which sector of the pharmacy profession they operated in.
The new guide is available online under the "What's New" section here.
