AstraZeneca have written to all pharmacies to inform them that implementation
of their new distribution arrangements has been delayed until 2008.
In response to the delay, Lindsay McClure, Head of Information Services stated,
"We welcome AstraZeneca's statement that they will be carrying out further
consultation with their customers, however, we remain concerned about the
impact that AstraZeneca's new arrangements may have on community
pharmacies. We have met with representatives from AstraZeneca and explained
this in detail to them."
